Ani grew up in a rural area at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York surrounded by pastures, forests, streams, ponds and wetlands. After graduating with a degree in Fine Art, She moved to northern New Jersey where she worked for over 25 years as an art teacher while raising a daughter, working towards her M. A. in Fine Art and painting and showing her work locally.

Ani lived for several years in Park City, Utah inspired by the natural world at high elevations. She moved to live by the ocean along the New Jersey shoreline. Her work was influenced by the light, textures and forms of the natural world.
Sadly, she passed away in February 2021, but she lives on in the legacy of her art.
